66% of the Earth's limits have been exceeded

The Earth is on the edge of environmental collapse. According to the latest scientific reports, we have crossed 6 of the 9 planetary limits, challenging the stability of ecosystems and the habitability of the planet.

Each of these thresholds represents a fundamental process for the balance of the Earth system. However, human activity has led to six of them being outside the safe zone.

1) CO₂ emissions have caused global warming of 1.2 °C, intensifying extreme weather events, melting ice and rising sea levels.

2) The rate of species extinction is 100 times the natural rate, threatening the stability of ecosystems.

3) The excessive use of fertilizers has generated contamination in soils and sources of water, affecting aquatic life.

4) Overexploitation of rivers and aquifers has led to water crises in many regions.

5) Deforestation and urbanization have reduced the planet's capacity to absorb CO₂ and conserve biodiversity.

6) Microplastics, pesticides and toxic compounds are affecting human health and wildlife on a global scale.

The science is clear, if we do not act now, the future of humanity will be at risk.
